In 2014, Melissa joined St. Mary’s bank, a local credit union in New Hampshire, to lead their CORE system conversion. While overseeing this major transformation, Melissa and team began St. Mary’s Bank’s Analytics Journey. Melissa will tell the story of how, thanks to Tableau, St. Mary’s Bank has been transforming itself from a paper-based, spreadsheet-dependent organization to one that leverages readily available data and actionable information. Melissa will describe how Tableau dashboards and reports have led to significant efficiency gains and informed business decisions in her organization.
In the latest installment of our “Tableau & Tell” series, Cassandra & Aaron from Workers CU in Massachusetts will take on the presentation of several of their key reporting dashboards and discuss the development, deployment, and the value they add to departments, strategic initiatives, and (most importantly) member
Meet the speakers:
Charlotte Taft is the Director of Business Intelligence at Callahan & Associates, providing data-driven insights on Callahan’s websites and software products. She owns customer analytics and is currently leveraging Tableau to integrate Callahan’s diverse credit union industry data sets. Prior to joining Callahan, she worked as an account strategist at Google, specializing in small business ads policy and malware. Before Google, she was an associate with the Moody’s Analytics Risk Management Consulting team, focused on building credit risk rating models and consulting on capital adequacy and regulatory issues.
Melissa Pomeroy is a senior business and IT leader with over 20 years of professional experience in operational leadership, IT program management and business and data analytics. In 2014, St. Mary’s Bank hired Melissa to lead their multi-million-dollar core system conversion effort. As the Director of Project Management and Business Analytics, Melissa is now leading a company-wide effort to make St. Mary’s Bank a data-driven organization. Melissa and her team have built and leveraged an enterprise data warehouse, streamlined numerous operational processes and delivered actionable dashboards to the business area leaders. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Bank in 2014, Melissa spent many years leading business and technology teams in the health care industry, as well as consulting in both the public and private sectors. Melissa has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Lafayette College, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics from The George Washington University.
Cassandra Stoddard is the AVP of Enterprise Analytics at Workers Credit Union. In 2013, Cassandra was hired as a Financial Analyst, overseeing all financial reporting, planning, and investment portfolio activity. Shortly after, Cassandra was promoted to AVP, Investment & BI Manager where her role was heavily focused on strategizing and promoting growth opportunities for a team dedicated to delivering analytics at an enterprise level. Today as AVP, Enterprise Analytics, she oversees a team of analysts working toward creating a strong data driven culture within the Credit Union. They are actively working on the development of their data warehouse, overseeing data governance and promoting the adoption of Tableau to enhance operations, drive financial success and improve the daily lives of their members.
