Presenter: Frannie Makabenta joined Tableau in 2015 and has spent most of her tenure in technical and customer-facing roles, helping customers and Tableau Foundation nonprofit partners learn and adopt Tableau as well as maximize the impact of their analytics strategy. In mid-2021, she moved to Tableau’s Transformation and Strategy team as a Senior Project Manager to focus on evolving the Blueprint, which is Tableau’s methodology for scaling the usage of analytics. Frannie resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband Marlowe and their adorable dog Archie.
Audience: This course is designed for the intermediate Tableau user.
About the Course: This session introduces the importance of data governance, its core concepts, and the governance activities related to your role.
During the course, we will cover:
- Why is governance important?
- How does governance intersect with my role?
- Governance basics
- Examples of site content structure
- Governance/content organization planning
Duration: One hour of live virtual training, consisting of lecture, demonstrations, and a question & answer session.
Prerequisites: Completion of both Desktop I: Fundamentals and Desktop II: Intermediate courses, or equivalent experience with the Tableau Desktop product.
Course Includes: This course includes a digital student resources folder containing the presentation to use as reference material after the session.
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
