San Juan College Selects Tableau to Share Data Campus-Wide

San Juan College has selected Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA) to analyze disparate data and provide better service. San Juan College chose Tableau to create reports using their data warehouse and to get visual analytics directly into the hands of employees across campus.

San Juan College chose Tableau after reviewing five business analytics vendors. Tableau came highly recommended by other education institutions and fit the college’s criteria.

“Tableau’s ease of use, functionality and ability to access data from disparate sources were key factors in making our selection,” said Laurie Gruel, Sr. Director of Strategic Development at San Juan College. “It’s important that departments across campus can get insights into their own data since they’re the ones best equipped to make decisions.”

San Juan College will use Tableau to report progress to the Board of Directors and other internal and external communities. Eventually, it plans to share some visualizations on its web site for all to see.
