Tableau Conference Returns to Seattle for Seventh Annual Event


Sold-out Event Attracts 5,500 Tableau Customers and Partners

Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), a global leader in easy-to-use business analytics software, kicks off its annual Tableau Conference (TC14), today at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle with a sold-out crowd of over 5,500 customers and partners from around the world. In its seventh year, TC14 brings together people from organizations of all sizes and industries. Attendees will discover how to leverage their investment in analytics, hear what’s next in business intelligence and network with like-minded individuals.

TC14 will feature four days of teaching and learning, including 270 breakout sessions, 50 hands-on training sessions, four major keynotes and the popular “Tableau Doctor” appointments with Tableau experts. More than 100 Tableau customers will share their success stories and business intelligence wins. People can follow the conference proceedings by following the Twitter hashtag #data14.

Other featured keynote speakers include:

•Astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, the host of the TV series, "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey," and director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York.

•Hans Rosling a professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet, the medical university in Stockholm, Sweden, and the co-founder of the Gapminder Foundation, which promotes a fact-based world view by converting international statistics into moving, interactive, understandable and enjoyable graphics.

•Dr. John L. Medina, a developmental molecular biologist focused on genes involved in human brain development and the genetics of psychiatric disorders.

•Financial Journalist and New York Times best-selling author, Michael Lewis, who has published more than a dozen books on subjects ranging from politics to Wall Street.

The conference will offer sessions for every skill level and feature speakers from the worlds of academia, journalism and Tableau’s research team.
