Tableau® Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence software, today announced plans to expand in Europe, opening its European Support Center. The new European Support Center is now operating from London in local time zones.

Tableau plans to double its staff in 2012, hiring across all departments in the European Union (EU). In addition, the company is starting a professional services practice and offering public training classes in the region. Tableau’s London office opened in 2011.

“Our expansion in the EU, including our European Support Center, is a very clear signal that Tableau is committed to growing internationally,” said Bruno Saint-Cast, vice president for Tableau in Europe. “It also opens the door for providing deeper service and support for enterprise accounts that require local resources.”

Tableau recently announced that it doubled global bookings year over year, posting 104 percent bookings growth in the fourth quarter of 2011 and 94 percent growth for the year. This marks Tableau’s eighth year of record bookings. Tableau also grew its worldwide customer base by 40 percent in 2011 and now has more than 7,000 organizations using its fast analytics products. In Europe, Tableau’s customer base grew even faster than the rest of the company, growing its installed base by 67 percent. Last July, Tableau announced the localized versions of its Tableau Desktop product in French and German as well as support for mobile business intelligence on the iPad. Its 7.0 release included support for Tableau Server in French and German as well.

Tableau is holding its second annual European customer conference April 2-4 in Barcelona, Spain. For registration details, please go to http://www.tableausoftware.com/tcceu12.
