Release Notes for Tableau 10.2.1
Note: Tableau Desktop customers in environments with Product Updates enabled will be prompted to upgrade a few days after a maintenance release is made available. For more information, see the Tableau Knowledge Base.
Some very large workbooks would fail to load with an unknown server error or a TableauException: An unexpected error occurred opening the packaged workbook. error.
Tableau Server would fail to start after applying or changing a readonly user password that began with certain special characters.
In some environments, Manage Product Keys for Tableau Server would fail to launch due to the process (tabsrvlic.exe) crashing.
When web authoring a workbook based on an SAP HANA data source with input parameter and variables, saving the workbook would result in an error: Cannot read property 'get_width' of undefined
In some cases, incorrect data would be displayed when loading a published view using URL parameters due to data caching issues.
When Allow publishers to embed credentials in a workbook or data source was disabled, it appeared that non-admin publishers were still able to edit connections to modify database credentials and successfully save changes even though they were never actually saved. The dialog now correctly throws an error when a publisher attempts to save changes.
Workbooks connected to SAP HANA using single sign-on authentication were, in some cases, slower to load after upgrading to Tableau Server 10.0 or higher.
When you web authored a workbook connected to SAP HANA using single sign-on authentication, you would be unable to connect to the data source, even with valid database credentials, unless you were the owner of the published workbook or data source.
SAP HANA based published data sources, containing custom SQL, would fail with a syntax error when you attempted to connect to them after upgrading from older versions of Tableau Server.
Formatted borders did not wrap around scroll bars in some instances.
Loading published views could intermittently result in an error: Unexpected Server Error - TableauException: Unable to open file FILE: No such file or directory
Loading views in Tableau Server and Tableau Online would intermittently fail with a Failed to copy file error.
Mitigated an issue with creating extracts on the unsupported Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (non-R2) operating systems. Beginning with Tableau 10.3, we will begin blocking installations on these operating systems.
