Tableau Desktop (Back to top)
Issue ID

When using a Microsoft SQL Server data source, converting a date field to a string in a calculation added time stamps to the date.

The "tableau -p" command printed only the active sheet, instead of the whole workbook.

On certain devices with accessibility tools (such as on-screen keyboards), changing the selection in the Calculated Field dialog box Function Category drop-down menu causeed Tableau Desktop to close unexpectedly.

Page Setup settings were not preserved when switching tabs.

Tableau Desktop could not connect to Tableau Online when behind certain authenticated proxies.

Cloudera Impala returned the following error message when filtering on groups: "IN and/or EXISTS subquery predicates are not supported in binary predicates".

When you edited a connection to Hortonworks Hive, the connection page sometimes did not correctly populate the "HTTP Path" field.

When using an SAP HANA data source, a formula that contained the DATETRUNC function returned an incorrect quarter for dates in March, June, September, and December.

When opening a workbook in Tableau Desktop, providing incorrect data source credentials sometimes locked out the data source user account.

Interacting with multiple parameters sometimes resulted in an unexpected error.

On the Mac, exporting a large crosstab to Microsoft Excel sometimes produced a corrupt file.

Tableau Server (Back to top)
Issue ID

When a user opened a second browser tab to a different site, returning to the first tab prompted the user to re-authenticate.

In Tableau Server, the "Actions by Recent Users" server status view sometimes omitted information.

The width of quick filter controls in the view changed after being published to Tableau Server.

Tooltips sometimes moved away from your cursor when you tried to interact with them, making them unusable.

Attempting to add users with special characters in the names resulted in a failure to synchronize with Active Directory.

Selecting a mark with a filter action and then selecting "Keep Only" in the mark label sometimes resulted in a "tuple id cannot be resolved" error message.

Data Server sometimes crashed while shutting down the service.

When you subscribed to a custom view and chose to receive all sheets in the workbook, the subscription email displayed the original view instead of the custom view.

When a user attempted to open a view that referenced a published data source to which they did not have access, the page repeatedly prompted for data source authentication, rather than showing the appropriate error message.

Initial SQL statements were called twice during background extract refresh.

A REST API request to "Query Workbooks For User" received a "403 Forbidden" response if the user didn't have the correct permissions for the parent projects of any workbooks they had permission to access.

Views in the mobile app or a mobile browser sometimes failed to scroll.

The "tabadmin warmup" command failed to run correctly.

Searching for an Active Directory group using a domain nickname did not return any results. The group could not be imported into Tableau Server unless the search was performed using a fully qualified domain name.

Navigating to another dashboard using a URL action did not transfer parameter value selections from the original dashboard to the destination dashboard.

When interacting with a dashboard in a browser, moving the cursor away from a mark that contained a highlight action did not clear the highlight.

Tableau Mobile (Back to top)
Issue ID

The error message: "Undefined is not an object" appeared when you searched in a drop-down filter.
