Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA) today announced that an independent survey of the world’s business intelligence companies placed it first among “High Growth” peers, beating out larger industry rivals. Tableau was “best in class” across almost all categories of measurement – including sales, value, technology/product, technical support and integrity. Produced by Dresner Advisory Services, the 2013 Wisdom of Crowds™ Business Intelligence Market Study® is used by business people to understand how their peers are leveraging and investing in BI and related technologies.
The Wisdom of Crowds study included Tableau in its “High Growth” category of business intelligence companies who have achieved critical mass in the market and are growing at an extremely high rate – well above industry average. Tableau outranked all other “High Growth” vendors in categories such as value, product and integrity. It had an average score of 4.40 out of 5, putting it in the top five of all vendors ranked.
“Tableau ranked first out of all other vendors in the ‘High Growth’ category and also scored substantially above both peer and overall sample averages for all categories,” said Howard Dresner, President, Founder and Chief Research Officer of Dresner Advisory Services. “Tableau is a ‘Top 5’ vendor across all categories.”
“Howard Dresner’s ‘The Wisdom of Crowds BI Market Survey’ is one of the most valuable resources to business intelligence buyers.
