Whether you are attending Tableau Conference 2014 or stuck in your office dreaming of data and Seattle, you can get involved on social media. Not only can you discover what people are thinking and doing, you can join them and help shape the conversation.
Here are 6 things you can do:
1. Listen to the #data14 hashtag
Conference attendees and social engagers alike are tagging their social media content with #data14. You can follow that on Twitter or Instagram.
2. Share your best pictures
During the week we will have a competition to find the best conference picture shared on social media. We’ll publish a shortlist on Wednesday evening. So get snapping and post your photos to Instagram or Twitter, tagged with #data14!
3. Visit the Social Media Command Center
If you’re at the conference be sure to stop by the Social Command Center on the 4th floor near the South Lobby. Have a chat with the team, check out our amazing social media wall display, and come learn more about how we collect and analyze social media data. Got a question for the team, but can’t stop by? Tag your tweet or Instagram pic with #data14 and this is the team who will be responding to you.
4. Read the blog
Our all new, redesigned Tableau Blog is ready to be put through the paces during conference. We will be blogging all week with new posts going up daily. Whether it’s keynotes, customer sessions or recaps of the parties, this blog is the place to catch the best of our curated content.
5. Follow the numbers
With so much social interaction happening next week, we will be continuously analyzing the data. Our social media team will be tracking tweets throughout the conference and sharing insights from our @tableau Twitter account. We tracked over 10,000 tweets last year – what will the numbers be this time?
6. Follow Tableau everywhere!
