Several changes were applied to improve security. See Security Bulletins for more details.

Apache Tomcat was upgraded to 7.0.75. This upgrade fixes a potential vulnerability in Tomcat: CVE-2016-8745.

The Background Task Delays administrative view had data incorrectly filtered out, resulting in a view that was often blank.
In some environments, Data Engine processes would go down intermittently with no apparent spike in resource consumption. Restarting Tableau Server would typically bring the processes back up.
Hive-based published workbooks and data sources with embedded passwords could not connect to Hive Server when using SSL and Knox for authentication.
Improved the performance of connecting to text files in shared network folders.
