Tableau Expands Fremont Campus with Headquarters Move to NorthEdge

Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), a global leader in visual analytics, has relocated its global headquarters in Seattle. The NorthEdge building, located at 1621 N. 34th Street, is less than a mile from Tableau’s previous headquarters at 837 N. 34th Street in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle.

“We are thrilled about our move into the NorthEdge space,” said Elissa Fink, Chief Marketing Officer at Tableau. “The Fremont area has been an important part of who we are since we first leased space here more than 12 years ago. The new building is designed to support the way people like to work, with stunning views of Lake Union and easy commuting on the Burke-Gilman Trail. Our people drive our success and we think NorthEdge will bring more creativity and inspiration to Tableau than ever before.”

Tableau announced its lease of the 210,000 square feet of space at NorthEdge in July 2015. The four-story mixed-use building just north of Gas Works Park has been under construction since that time. NorthEdge has space for more than 1,200 Tableau employees. The company will consolidate teams such as development, marketing and operations in the new building while keeping other teams in current spaces across the Fremont campus. Tableau is currently subleasing other properties where it had employees and announced a lease for 110,000 square feet at 744 N. 34th St, which is currently under construction.

Tableau also has a presence in Kirkland, WA, across Lake Washington from Seattle. Once the Kirkland Urban construction project is complete the company will consolidate teams in Kirkland into its new building, allowing for better collaboration. It is hoping to move into that space in early 2019.
