Tableau Software Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering and Full Exercise of Underwriters’ Option to Purchase Additional Shares

Tableau Software, Inc. (NYSE: DATA) today announced the closing of its previously announced initial public offering of 9,430,000 shares of its Class A common stock at the price to the public of $31.00 per share, which included 1,230,000 shares issued upon the exercise in full of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares. A total of 6,230,000 shares were sold by Tableau Software and a total of 3,200,000 shares were sold by certain selling stockholders. Tableau Software did not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.

The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 17, 2013 under the symbol “DATA”.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as lead joint book-running managers for the offering. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC acted as book-running managers. UBS Securities LLC and BMO Capital Markets Corp. acted as co-lead managers, and JMP Securities LLC acted as co-manager.
