Resolved Issues

Issue ID Description

Tableau Server now runs ANALYZE on the PostgreSQL database after significant PostgreSQL version changes.

In an upgraded, distributed installation of Tableau Server, when the primary and worker install paths were overridden and differed from each other, a backup restore would result in the loss of the extract data.

A quick filter with a multiple values drop down shows a list of the filter values and displays a search box when there are more than five values. When the list of filter values changes because Show only relevant values is selected, the search box is hidden or displayed depending on how many values are in the list. When you published a view to Tableau Server, the search box was hidden or displayed based on the length of the values list at publication and its visibility did not change even when the length of the list of values changed.

After upgrading to 8.1.8, Vizqlserver error "Unhandled Exception: 0xc0000005" occurred at the same time of day over multiple days.

With MSAS data sources, activating a Select action on a view in a multi-sheet workbook which had the Show server Sheets as Tabs disabled caused the “Analysis Services database error. The syntax for '' is incorrect” error. This was due to special characters (for example: ampersand (&), comma(,), and brace (})) in field names not being correctly URL-encoded.

Workbooks connected to HP Vertica data sources using custom SQL took significantly more time to load views in Tableau Server than in Tableau Desktop.

Running the tabadmin cleanup command caused an error and did not delete all log files.

When working with a published data source that includes a grouped field, duplicating the field removed each group member's custom name, replacing it with the concatenation of the member's values.

In Internet Explorer 8, clicking a new date in the calendar control did not change the date parameter.
