Tableau Software today announced that Ralf Patzwaldt has joined the business intelligence company as Account Manager in German, Austrian and Swiss markets. Tableau continues its expansion across Europe – especially with strategic sales to enterprise accounts.

Patzwaldt is a graduate engineer and computer scientist with more than fifteen years of experience in the fields of information technology and business intelligence. He was employed in various roles in IBM’s IT and consultancy firms in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. He has also acted as a sales manager in the public sector, healthcare industry, and research and higher education fields. Following his time at IBM he was appointed to leading positions with Business Objects Germany and E-piphany Software. Before joining Tableau he was a Senior Client Executive with the communications system provider Avaya Germany.

“Many companies throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the rest of Europe have seen the benefits of Tableau’s rapid-fire analytics,” said Todd Currie, Vice President of International Sales at Tableau Software. “Having someone with Ralf’s experience on the ground in Germany helps our strategic customers and partners advance more quickly and with confidence.”

“I look forward to expanding our customer base as the benefits of visual analytics are just being realized in the DACH region,” said Patzwaldt. “Tableau is truly transforming the way that companies draw insights from and make decisions about data.”

Tableau also plans to expand its services in the region, offering more training sessions and support in the local markets and languages.
