The Tableau Mobile iPhone app includes rich interactive features. You can explore, analyze, and visualize data using simple and intuitive touch gestures. Here are some highlights of the iPhone app:

Delightful phone experience: We brought the features you love in the Tableau Mobile iPad app to your iPhone: offline snapshots, easy site switching, and live connections to Tableau Server and Tableau Online. The user interface was redesigned for fast and fluid navigation on your phone, all with just your thumb!

Location awareness: Have you ever wondered what's going on around you when you’re out and about? Now you can center the map on your current location with single tap and ask questions like: Which customers are within 3 miles of where I am?

Faceted search: Filtering workbooks and views by project was one of your most-requested features, and we’ve heard you. This capability is now available in Tableau 9.2. Now you can find your content quickly by filtering for multiple facets including owner, project, format, and tag.

Backward compatibility: The iPhone app is compatible with Tableau Server 8.2 and above, as well as Tableau Online. You need to be running at least iOS 8 on your iPhone.

The iPhone app and the updated iPad app will be available in the Apple App Store around the time of the Tableau 9.2 launch.

Many More Features to Come

What’s next? We have many more features planned to improve your mobile experience. These include device-specific dashboards, support for Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, and a native Android app. See our mobile vision blog post for more details.
