Tableau Software Adds Easy Access to SAP Data and High Availability with Latest Improvements

Tableau 7.0.4 Ensures 24/7 Access and One-Click Connection to SAP BW

Data de publicação:

Tableau Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence (BI) software, today announced improvements that make it even more robust and powerful for large deployments. The general availability of Tableau 7.0.4 includes a native connector to SAP BW, the database for one of the leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in the world and High Availability.

“Business Intelligence is becoming mission critical at many enterprises and round-the-clock access to data is paramount,” said Chris Stolte, Chief Development Officer, co-founder and inventor of Tableau Software. “High Availability delivers peace of mind that Tableau’s fast, easy analytics will always be accessible. The new native connector to SAP BW makes accessing data as simple as a few clicks.”

“Numbers are the language of our business and most importantly, we have to be able to analyze them quickly and accurately to affect change,” said Jerry Pellizzon, CFO at Ceradyne (NASDAQ: CRDN). “We chose Tableau to understand our SAP data because of its ease-of-use and intuitiveness. It will help employees across our company to discover, understand and see trends and outliers in the numbers so they can take quick action.”

Tableau’s release in Spanish and Portuguese ensures that people in Latin America and parts of Europe have a much more fluid and faster thought process in their native language, speeding up the cycle of visualization and providing better results in less time.

New Tableau 7.0.4 features include:

•SAP Connector: Tableau’s native SAP BW connector takes full advantage of the metadata and security stored in BW. This connector gives SAP and Tableau customers tremendous insight into their business data and more value from their ERP systems.

•High Availability: A Tableau Server installation can now withstand the failure of a single machine with no need for human intervention.

•Spanish and Portuguese: Tableau is delivering on its promise of “analytics everywhere” with localized versions of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server in Spanish and Portuguese. This release follows the delivery of French and German versions of Tableau in 2011 and support of many locales for number and date formats.
