Data-Driven Performance Analytics at NYU Langone Medical Center

A key challenge confronting NYU Langone was duplicative, uncorrelated and unreliable data extracted from multiple enterprise systems that inhibited "a single version of the truth" for executive decision-making. An enterprise data warehouse and executive dashboards were implemented late 2009, and the need for analytics has grown organically ever since, making NYU Langone a truly data-driven organization.

To keep up with the demand, IT needed a way to reduce turnaround times using less IT resources while providing more feature-rich analytics.

NYU Langone made the decision to move away from traditional business intelligence tools and leverage self-service analytics not only for executive dashboards and organizational metrics, but also for data discovery and operational analytics. Now stakeholders can access visual analytics, via their reporting portal or within their Epic hyperspace UI, for data insights to enable decision-making at the speed of business.

Watch this webinar and learn how NYU Langone:

  • Leverages visual analytics to drive accountability, transparency and performance improvements
  • Approaches role data governance in defining and developing organizational metrics
  • Takes a centralized approach to providing information and analytics to the enterprise
  • Empowers executives, physicians, nurses, clinicians and knowledge workers with data
