Intelligently Analyze Your Profitability and Growth
No matter your industry, the ability to analyze profitability and growth is crucial to strategic planning and decision-making. Which segments are most profitable? Where is high growth occurring? What are your challenges and opportunities? We use a quadrant method in this example; by placing all product segments in dynamic quadrants, we can define winners, losers, and areas of opportunity.
For the profitability quadrant, we put YTD net sales on the Y axis and YTD net profit margin on the X axis—and then let you define the boundaries of each quadrant by inputting your own bottom lines for net sales and net profit margin. Underneath the quadrant, there is a cross-tab that dynamically lists all product segments corresponding to your customized quadrant. Drag the sliders underneath the profitability quadrant title to see changes on the quadrant and the cross-tab below. You can also generate your growth quadrant to identify your winners, losers, and areas of opportunities.
By combining visualized quadrants and the detailed data in one dashboard, you can quickly detect patterns in your data while finding the details in seconds. Click or lasso anywhere in the quadrant to highlight and filter your results.
