Tableau felt like it had been built for me. I was building reports within minutes.

Summary: London-based karaoke chain, Lucky Voice, uses Tableau's data visualization capabilities to better understand its growing customer base. In this article, Lucky Voice's founder and managing partner Nick Thistleton explains why he chose Tableau and how his staff is more empowered with real-time data. “I found the market impenetrable for a business of my size. I looked at Jaspersoft, Crystal Reports, PowerPivot for Excel. They all seemed overwrought, monstrously overpriced and inaccessible," said Thistleton, "Tableau felt like it had been built for me. I was building reports within minutes."

What's next for Lucky Voice? Thistleton tells Brian McKenna from Computer Weekly, “Greater complexity is ahead, taking us more on to the CRM [customer relationship management] side, getting more people internally to build visualisations so that we understand customer behaviour such as what they drank, what they sang."
