Follow the Tableau Torch Across the World

With the upcoming launch of Tableau 10, we wanted to do something special to celebrate you, our amazing community that makes Tableau so unique.

In the spirit of the Olympics in Rio, we’re hosting our own worldwide relay we’re calling the Tableau Torch Relay.

Over the next ten weeks, ten of our incredible community members will travel the globe, visiting ten different cities and passing the torch as they go. They’ll be documenting their journey on social media. And we, in turn, will run a series of viz contests with chances for you to win passes to TC16 in Austin!

As you saw during the Tableau 10 Virtual User Group, the torch started its journey at our APAC headquarters in Singapore.

It will make its way across the US from Seattle to New York, then fly across the Atlantic to Paris. The relay will end in our London office where we’ll hold a closing ceremony the day after the Olympics end.

As you know, it wouldn’t be a Tableau event without some vizzing! That’s why we’re hosting the Tableau Torch Viz Contest in tandem with the passing of the torch.

Between June 23 and August 22, you’ll have five opportunities to create a winning Tableau viz. The winner of each round will get a conference pass to TC16.
