Since Tableau launched our first product line, Forensic Bridges (a.k.a. write-blockers), we've
known that it would be necessary to make regular firmware updates available. These
updates make it possible for Tableau to introduce new features, improve device
compatibility, and even fix bugs.
Tableau Firmware Update is a simple-to-use tool for Microsoft Windows which
can update the firmware in your Tableau forensic hardware device (e.g., Bridges, Duplicators, and Accelerators).
Tableau Firmware Update automatically identifies the model of the Tableau device attached to
the computer and applies the appropriate update on command. There's no need for
you to match firmware files with the corresponding device.
Tableau Firmware Update uses FireWire (IEEE 1394) to communicate with
Tableau device, so you need to have a FireWire port or host adapter
installed in your system. (You cannot do firmware updates over USB.)
Long-term support of our products is one of the
commitments we make to our customers, and we are proud to be providing regular
firmware updates for even our very oldest forensic bridges. This is just one more
example of the Tableau Value Advantage.
