Release v3.10 includes an updated version of the Tableau Firmware
Update utility. This version allows the Tableau Firmware Update to
recognize T14 FireWire800 IDE Bridges manufactured in early 2005
which incorrectly report themselves to be T15 FireWire800 SATA Bridges.
Even though the T14 bridges manufactured in early 2005 incorrectly
report themselves to be T15 bridges, the T14 bridges function correctly.
Data transferred using these T14 bridges will be correct, and disk images
captured with these units will be forensically sound. However, to eliminate
the potential for confusion, Tableau suggests that all T14 users update
the firmware in their T14 bridges. After updating with Tableau Firmware
Update v3.1 or later, these T14 bridges will report the correct model
information.
