I just downloaded tableau 7.0 and would like to import an excel file from my pc to start the work. How do I connect the data. I am working on a trial basis.

Hello Bara
Best to go to the On Demand Training modules. The second module in the 'Intro' section gives a good explanationn how to connect Tableau to Excel files. Here is the link. Hope it helps

There are lot of other free training modules which can really help you get the most out of Tableau.

Very interesting initiative.
Do you only propose "ad hoc" services (custom made every time) or do you also offer more generic support plan with a monthly/yearly flat fee such as what can be seen with AWS or Windows Azure?

Is there any row and column limit for tableau ? recently iam working with some 15 dimension tables and 15 measures tables but i got some error saying that database error 0x80004005:[teradata] [odbc teradata driver][teradata database] row size and sort key size overflow unable to create extract

Hi Ravi,

That error looks like it's coming from the Teradata odbc driver, not Tableau. If you're still having trouble with this, I'd suggest reaching out to the awesome folks on our Support Team.
