Once again, we had a packed house in the Big Apple's Union Square. Customers even arrived early to network with others, as well as to ask questions of the demo staff before even seeing the demo in action or having the demo stations ready!

While filled maps were of course a big hit, some of 7.0's other features seemed to really stand out in the New York crowd, including continuous date drill downs, the absence of null island (we'll miss you) and improved geocoding.

Speaking of geocoding, our sales consultant Mike Kravec showed the New Yorkers the thing they've always wanted: the re-aliasing of Philadelphia to New York South. Cheering crowds don't lie.

After the presentation many people stayed for the reception and a chance to network, ask questions and share their Tableau stories. One attendee who was new to Tableau said, "Whoa! I can't believe I've been trying to do this in Excel for ten years!" There was also a lot of excitement around data server and the fact that data can be stored there and shared with others.

We love waking up in the city that never sleeps. After all, if we can make it there...
