The report evaluated 24 different software vendors on 15 criteria and placed Tableau in the Leaders quadrant.

“We believe Tableau has landed in the Leaders quadrant for a third year in a row because we’ve fundamentally changed how people see and understand data,” said Christian Chabot, Tableau’s Chairman, CEO and co-founder. “People and organizations are recognizing our disruptive approach that’s defining a new way to do business intelligence.”

According to Gartner, “The year 2014 has been another year of challenging execution for the market share leaders in the BI and analytics market, juxtaposed against strong execution for data discovery vendors, particularly Tableau, that are satisfying customers, meeting their buying requirements and delivering greater business value.”
