Tableau Software Names Suzanne Hoffman as Director of Channel; Hoffman Tasked with Accelerating Tableau’s Partner Expansion

Company More than Doubles Channel Revenues through Q3; International Expansion Key to Continued Rapid Growth

Publish Date:

Tableau Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence (BI) software, today announced Suzanne Hoffman as its director of channel. Hoffman will drive strategy for international channel expansion and help partners generate revenue. Hoffman’s appointment is an indicator of Tableau’s continuing commitment to the channel. As of the end of Q3, Tableau had more than doubled its channel revenues year over year.

Earlier this year, Tableau announced major improvements to the Tableau Partner Program, making it easier for partners to help their customers and to grow their businesses. In her new role, Hoffman will manage that program by maximizing sales revenue from indirect channels. Tableau’s indirect channels include resellers, VARs, affiliates and system integrators.

Hoffman has more than 20 years of sales and management experience working for companies such as SPSS, Metaphor and Cognos (all acquired by IBM) and Arbor Software, Hyperion Solutions and HyperRoll (all acquired by Oracle). She’s active in Women in Technology International (WITI - GEN), a member of the Association for Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP), Sales and Marketing Executives Int’l (SMEI), The Executives’ Club of Chicago and many other industry boards. She is an active conference speaker, trainer and author well-known in the Business Intelligence community. She’s a graduate of Smith College and has a certificate in management from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

“Suzanne will be instrumental in helping us to expand our various Sales Channels, both domestically and internationally,” said Kelly Wright, Tableau’s executive vice president of sales. “She has led direct sales and channel teams, including stints in Europe and Asia Pacific, and is well connected in the business intelligence industry.”

Tableau currently has more than 150 partners around the world. In July, the company announced localized versions of its Tableau Desktop product in French and German as well as support for mobile business intelligence on the iPad.
